Project Brief:
BCL Fire Systems were responsible for the supply, testing and commissioning of an
Analogue Addressable fire detection system with voice evacuation capability
to the Mall of the Emirates project. The system involves 29 Nos. Fire Alarm Control
panels complete with Distributed Amplifier units. This system also has 2 Nos. of
Graphic Computers which displays all the events in graphic format.
In addition to the fire alarm system, also installed is an intelligent smoke control
system monitoring and controlling around 60 Smoke Extract Fans and 450 smoke dampers
from the control room. This system is fully integrated with fire alarm system and
operates automatically in case of fire condition.
The fire detection and alarm system complies with NFPA 72 Fire Codes and the smoke
control system with NFPA 92A Codes.
